Mel Brooks' Successor

If there was a successor to Mel Brooks kind of comedy who would it be?....

I think it would have to be Seth McFarlane and the crew he works with. The only two creators that I can recall being so politically incorrect, -- in my mind completely correct by being politically incorrect -- and yet so funny are Mel Brooks and Seth McFarlane. With the way that Mel Brooks comedies were so off the wall and his use of music at times too, it's almost like Seth was Mel's understudy the way that Family Guy, American Dad, and Cavalcade of Comedy remind me instantly of classics like Blazing Saddles, and History of the World Part I.
All I gotta say is "The inquisition, what a show" could go hand in hand with "..they will make you take a tinkle when you want to take a piss.."
on a side note I think Seth should do a "Family Guy the Musical" with Mell Brooks consulting, now that would be something!
